Registration for 2012/13 Season
Registration and Competing Age Groups
Little Athletics caters for boys and girls between the age of six (6) and seventeen (17) as of the 1st October of that year. To assist with the registration process, the table below shows competition age group based on month and year of birth.
Age groups are calculated each year at the commencement of the season. The season commences on October 1st in one year and ceases on September 30th the following year, e.g. if an athlete turns 10 after September 30th, that athlete will compete in the U10 age group for that season.
Note The Southern Districts LAC will only register an athlete if he/she is at least 6 years old on 30th September 2012. Athletes born between 1st October 2006 and 31st March 2007 (inclusive) may be allowed to compete as U6’s where they have an older sibling who is registered for the season. Registration of these athletes is at the Club’s discretion and these athletes are registered for Centre competition only and cannot participate in State competitions. They will be allocated a centre registration number.

WINTER REGISTRATIONS
For the Winter Season, athletes who were registered for the Summer Season are eligible to participate in the winter season(included in the annual registration fee). For those athletes wishing to participate in the Winter Competition only, please contact one of our Winter managers. Athletes competing in the winter competition participate as Southern Stars district athletes and not for individual clubs.
